Questions We Get Asked Most
Everything people ask us before their first class, answered properly. If yours is not here, message us on WhatsApp and a person will reply.
Getting Started
Yes, and most of the room was in the same position not long ago. Almost every class here can be walked into cold. If you have never wrapped your hands, someone will show you before the warm-up starts, and a coach will correct you through the session, because that is the job. You will not be put in with a professional on your first day, and nobody is going to make a performance of the fact that you are new.
Shorts, a t-shirt, a water bottle and a towel. That is the whole list. Training is barefoot on the mats, so shoes come off before you step on.
Hand wraps and gloves are worth buying once you know you are sticking around, and there is gear here to borrow before then. Someone will show you how to wrap your hands. For Jiu-Jitsu, a rash guard and shorts with no pockets or zips will do to start.
Reserve a spot on the schedule page, or message us on Messenger or WhatsApp in advance. For most classes you can simply walk in. Turn up ten or fifteen minutes before it starts, sign in, and you are set.
Yes. Drop-ins are welcome at any class on the timetable, at ฿600 for a single session. Check the schedule first so you know what is running, and get here ten or fifteen minutes early to sign in, get wrapped and say hello to whoever is coaching. If you are in Bangkok for more than a day or two, the day pass at ฿1,000 and the week pass at ฿3,000 work out cheaper than paying class by class.
For kids, yes. One free class, so your child can try it properly before you commit to anything.
For adults there is no free class at the moment. A single drop-in is ฿600, and the day and week passes are cheap enough to get a real sense of the place before you decide on anything longer.
Training Here
It is a contact sport, so it is never nothing, but the room is run properly. A coach takes every session and watches the whole floor. Sparring is controlled and you are not in it until your defense holds up under pressure. In Jiu-Jitsu you roll at whatever intensity you and your partner agree on, and nobody here is out to hurt anybody. Protective gear gets used where gear matters. If something hurts, say so, and you will be given a way to keep training around it.
Probably not. You will get fit here if you turn up consistently and eat sensibly, but we are going to correct your technique whether or not you ever plan to set foot in a ring. We do not run mindless movement to raise a heart rate, and we are not a cardio kickboxing gym. If being coached and corrected sounds like the good part, you will enjoy it here. If it sounds like an obstacle, there are gyms in Bangkok that will suit you better.
Either, both, whichever you prefer. The women’s-only Muay Thai class runs an hour, taught by female coaches, with the same technique and the same pad work as everything else on the timetable. There is no watered-down version of it.
Plenty of women here train in the mixed classes as well, some only in this one, and nobody thinks twice about either.
Three groups, split by age. Little Cubs takes two to five year olds. Kids runs from five to eight. From eight upward there is an older kids class, with longer sessions and harder work. In all three the kids learn real self-defense, and they learn it through games, because that is how children learn anything.
Memberships & Visas
Yes, at every step. Thailand’s Destination Thailand Visa, also called the Soft Power Visa, lets martial arts practitioners stay up to 180 days per entry on a five-year, multiple-entry visa. No more border runs every few months.
We provide a structured curriculum that meets the embassy requirements, the official training documentation for your application, and help with the application itself.
Yes, to a small number of people. It is based on how hard you work and how you carry yourself in the gym, rather than on a record alone. If you are a professional and you think there is a fit, contact us directly and tell us who you are and what you are working toward.
