An Open-Air Fight Camp In The Middle Of Bangkok
Tiger Eye sits in Ari, which is about as easy as central Bangkok gets to live in. We are a five-minute motorbike ride from BTS Ari, close to Chatuchak Market, and a straightforward commute to the downtown shopping district. Ari has tree-lined streets, good coffee, and a slower pace than the rest of the city. It is a nice part of town to live in, and a very good one to train in.
The gym was founded by Bashir Ahmad, who fought for ONE Championship, later worked as an executive there, and before all of it served as a combat medic with the U.S. Army. The people who train here are a real mix: fighters getting ready for a bout, travelers in town for a week, families from a few streets away, and people with day jobs who want proper coaching and none of the ego that usually comes with it.
Training happens in the open air, with permaculture beds running around the edges. By land size we are one of the largest gyms in central Bangkok, and we are building accommodation on the property for fighters who stay a while. A cafe is going up here too, serving healthy food, with a good share of the ingredients walked over from our own garden.
Whether this is your first class or your thousandth, you will be coached properly and nobody will make a performance of it.

About Us
What Makes Tiger Eye Different
Most gyms in Bangkok teach Muay Thai and nothing else. We teach it properly, and we also run Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Western Boxing and MMA, so you can round out your game without crossing the city to do it.
We are in the Phaya Thai district, a short walk from BTS Ari. The neighborhood has places to work from, good coffee and actual trees. Train in the morning, grab lunch at Nana Coffee Roasters or Ease Cafe, get some work done, come back for the evening class.
The gym sits on just under a rai of land, which is a lot for central Bangkok, with the training areas open to the air and permaculture beds along every edge of them. A cafe is on the way, and a good share of what it serves will come out of those beds.
A class for women, taught by female coaches. The same Muay Thai technique as every other class on the timetable, in a room where nobody is going to make you feel like you do not belong.
As far as we know, the only dedicated Kids MMA class in the city. The kids learn real self-defense, and they learn it through games, because that is how kids learn anything. It has quietly become a hub for Bangkok’s homeschooling families.
There are classes here you will not find at a fight camp: Thai language lessons, cooking classes and music sessions.

TRAIN LONG TERM IN THAILAND
DTV VISA TRAINING PACKAGES
Thailand’s Destination Thailand Visa, also called the Soft Power Visa, lets martial arts practitioners stay up to 180 days per entry on a five-year, multiple-entry visa. No more border runs every few months.
Tiger Eye provides full DTV support:
- A structured curriculum that meets the embassy requirements
- Official training documentation for your visa application
- Help with the application itself
The difference with us: you’re training in central Bangkok, not at a remote camp. You get serious instruction and you also get to live in one of the city’s best neighborhoods. Cafes, coworking, good food, easy transit. The full package.

Beyond The Ring
What Else Happens Here
Just under a rai of land in the middle of Bangkok, training areas open to the sky, and permaculture beds growing along every edge of them. There are chickens, too.
Mornings start with joint mobility, yoga postures and breathing, before anyone throws a punch. Later in the week there are Thai lessons, cooking classes and music sessions.
What comes out of that is a community rather than a customer list. Fighters, travelers passing through, families from down the road, and people who just wanted somewhere decent to train.

Tiger Eye MMA in Ari, Bangkok: Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ & boxing in an open-air gym with cafe, kids & women’s classes plus DTV visa training support.
